OUR HISTORY
Reverend Richard McCarthy founded Brooks Memorial in his Jamaica, Queens, NY home in 1924 for families that found it difficult to travel to Manhattan for services. In 1926, Reverend McCarthy relocated to a larger facility on Pinegrove Street.
In 1930 Brooks Memorial was recognized by the Deleware Conference as an established Methodist Church.
Brooks Memorial relocated, again, to its current location on 109th Avenue in 1952.
From its beginning, Brooks Memorial has grown numerically, spiritually and in popularity. Prominent preachers and well-known speakers have addressed our congregations throughout the years.
OUR PASTOR
The Reverend John T. Simmons, Jr. is the Pastor of Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church.
